Barton Creek is Austin's original farmers market, having its start in the Whole Foods parking lot in 1987, and going strong in the Barton Creek Mall parking lot since 2010.
Every Saturday, rain or shine, Barton Creek brings together local growers, ranchers, food makers, and artisans in a lively open-air setting — over 90% of vendors sell what they grow or produce themselves. Find fresh seasonal produce, grass-fed and grass-finished meats, pasture-raised eggs, raw cheeses, non-homogenized milk, freshly milled flour, and much more — all sourced from Texas farms and ranches. When you don't feel like cooking, a global lineup of prepared food vendors has you covered, most of them cooking with ingredients straight from the market's own farmers.
Round it out with live music, kids' activities, local artisans, and a café for breakfast or lunch. It's less of an errand and more of a weekly celebration.
