Yegua Creek Farms is a family-run orchard and bakery celebrating Texas pecans in every form imaginable. The farm sits on historic land once home to the small town of Siloam — where a post office, church, and community well once stood — along the creek that Stephen F. Austin labeled “Yegua” on his 1822 map, meaning “mare” in Spanish.
When Gene and Eileen purchased an abandoned orchard in 2006, they set out to revive it using natural, chemical-free practices that nurture both the trees and the soil. Today, they harvest from more than 1700 pecan trees across their own and neighboring orchards, turning the bounty into small-batch pecan products, specialty breads, and other baked goods.
From tree to table, everything at Yegua Creek Farms is a love letter to the land, the harvest, and the humble pecan that defines it all.
