About VRDNT
VRDNT Farm is a female-owned, bio-intensive farm in Bastrop known for its flavorful veggies and legendary heirloom tomatoes. “Bio-intensive” means farming powered by biology, not chemicals—focusing on soil health, biodiversity, and prevention over pesticides. Farmer-owner Becky Hume spent more than a decade on organic farms before launching VRDNT in 2019, building an 11-acre dream with a mix of grit and “appropriate tech” that saves labor while respecting the land.
Even with Texas’ wild weather—freezes, heatwaves, and all—she loves the challenge. VRNDT’s mission is simple: To nourish the land and our community by growing high quality, nutrient dense veggies. Taste the bio-intensive difference by joining the VRDNT CSA or shopping Mueller Market on Sundays in Austin!
