About Two Hives Honey

Meet Tara Chapman, founder of Two Hives Honey. Tara grew up in tiny Smyer, TX, went off to Duke, and spent a decade working abroad for the CIA before trading war zones for bee yards. One beekeeping class in Austin flipped the script—she ditched government life, apprenticed with a queen breeder in East Texas, and came back buzzing with purpose.

What started with two neighborhood hives and casual tours is now Two Hives Honey: a socially conscious biz built on community education, pollinator love, and the best damn honey Texas bees can make. Tara’s story is proof that it’s never too late to find your passion and run with it.
