In 2017, Sam and Carolyn Moffett traded their advertising careers in the city to be closer to the land and give back to their community. They now have a 250-acre regenerative farm in Brenham with 100 cows and 4500 chickens. You can get their pasture-raised chicken, beef, pork, eggs delivered to your home via their website or pick up in person at Mueller, Downtown Austin, and Sunset Valley farmers markets and at their Local Pastures storefronts in Austin. To experience the farm firsthand, you can shop their farmstand (Fri 2-6pm & Sat 10-2pm) or book a stay at the Shirttail Bunkhouse and request a guided walking tour. His enthusiasm for building fertile soil while raising golden-yolked eggs and nutrient-dense proteins has a way of staying with you long after you leave.
