Munkebo Farm

Vegetables, herbs, pasture-raised beef and pork

Manor, TX

Meet Germaine & Ivan of Munkebo Farm in Manor, TX, where they raise cows and pigs on pasture, recycle manure into fertilizer, and grow heirloom veggies in a closed-loop, permaculture system where nothing goes to waste. Alongside unique crops like lambs quarters (think spinach, but better), they bring prepared goods like kimchi, black garlic, pickles, and even lard soap to market. Fun fact: Germaine is a 3rd-gen Texan whose great-grandparents were among the first to settle Round Rock. And the farm’s name? It honors Munkebo, the Swedish town where her great-grandmother was born. You can find them at Bell and Mueller every weekend. To place pre-orders for market pick-up: Text 512-940-5228 by Thursday at noon.
