David Barrow is the farmer and founder of Eden East Farm. After spending decades behind the camera documenting the Texas farm-to-table movement as a filmmaker, he fell in love with the pioneering locavore chef Sonya Cote—and the rest is homegrown history. In 2019, David transformed a bare lot in Bastrop into a thriving organic farm. Eden East now supplies Sonya’s restaurant, Store House, with hyper-seasonal produce and runs a public farmstand every Wednesday and Saturday from 9am to 1pm.
