Ben and Steph started Bouldin Food Forest in 2014 in the front yard of their Bouldin Creek home. Ben, a permaculturist who works with nature—not against it—dug out 30 truckloads of rock to build a no-waste ecosystem with rich soil, 20+ trees, and Indian runner ducks. Steph, a holistic nurse practitioner, brings deep care for nutrient density and food-as-medicine to everything they grow.
In 2016, they moved to 150 acres in Rogers, TX where they follow regenerative practices: minimal soil disturbance, no synthetic inputs, and an edible ecosystem with 100's of trees to build soil health, create microclimates, and support biodiversity. You can find their nutrient-packed vegetables, unique microgreens, beautiful flowers, and summer fruits at the Bell and Mueller Farmers Markets in Austin.
