B5 Farm

Heirloom varietals of vegetables, ie. tomatoes, kabocha pumpkin, potatoes!

Meet Jamey of B5 Farm in Lockhart TX. His great-grandfather, Q.C. Boatman, registered the B5 brand with Travis County in 1875. He believed in respecting nature's intelligence and was known for branding his cattle on the horn to spare them discomfort and stress. Today, Jamey carries on the B5 brand as a symbolic link to the past. Believing that old ways are the best, Jamey cultivates heirloom varietals of tomatoes, kabocha pumpkin, potatoes, and eggplant using traditional farming practices free from chemical fertilizers. He searches the world for seeds suited to Central Texas soil and climate, grows them with care, and brings them directly to customers at Bell and Mueller Farmers Market so he can get them to Austinites within hours of harvest at the peak of their flavor and nutrient values.
