Animal Farm

Animal Farm is a working permaculture center and one of the OG organic farms in Texas. What started in 1998 as a backyard garden on a 70-acre dream property has grown into a thriving 25-acre farm supplying seasonal produce to top restaurants, CSAs, and farmers markets in both Austin and Houston. Cas brings the goods—literally. Every Saturday at the SFC Farmers Market in Downtown Austin, you’ll find him with a big smile on his face and a beautiful spread of organic vegetables and flower arrangements grown with his wife, Gita, in Cat Spring TX, 65 miles west of Houston. Chefs from celebrated restaurants like Uchiko & Birdie’s rave about Animal Farm’s golden cherry tomatoes (sweet and sun-kissed), ultra-fresh greens, and heirloom haricots like yellow wax and dragon tongue beans.
