Chef Rachel Musquiz’s passion for food as medicine has evolved over the past decade — first as a tool for her own healing, and then as an outward expression of love and creativity. Through her East Austin food truck, farmers’ market offerings, and pop-ups, she shared turmeric-based drinks and Ayurvedic-inspired, plant-forward dishes that invited the community into her practice of nourishment.
Today, Rachel’s work has deepened into a more intimate calling as a doula chef, cooking for mothers-to-be and new mothers during the sacred forty days after birth — a time she honors as essential for both physical and emotional renewal. She also brings her restorative cooking to wellness retreats set in some of nature’s most beautiful places.
Rooted in Austin yet drawn to the wilderness, Rachel is a citizen of the planet — making the world a more nurturing, wonder-filled place, one meal at a time.
