Hi there, I’m Ceirra, and I manage Local Pastures here in Austin, Texas. I can honestly say, I love what I do. Every day I get to see how our farmers connect with the Austin community, and that connection — between the hands that grow/raise our food and the people who gather to enjoy it — is the best part of my day.

Food has always meant more to me than just something we need. It’s a way to share life, love, and stories with the people we care about most. My job lets me help bridge that gap between farmer and neighbor, and I’m so thankful for that.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday — it’s the one time of year we all seem to slow down and really take in what we’re grateful for. And what better way to say “thanks” than by celebrating the folks who steward our land and feed our community?
