Abby Love is the Louisiana-born, Texas-rooted baker behind Abby Jane Bakeshop, a cozy bakery just a few feet from where the grain is stone-milled at Barton Springs Mill—visible through a nine-foot window that connects eater, baker, and miller in one beautiful loop.
A veteran of Dai Due Butcher Shop & Supper Club in Austin, where she built the bread and pastry program, Abby met miller James A. Brown just as Barton Springs Mill was firing up. Years later, she hitched her “little bakery wagon” to his new facility, creating a one-of-a-kind partnership that’s as delicious as it is visionary.
Abby Jane Bakeshop isn’t just about croissants and morning buns; it’s about rebuilding a regional grain economy and proving that sustainability and flavor can—and should—rise together.
